Arizona Opera and Musical Instrument Museum to Co-Present Annual Performance Series

Series Kicks Off May 6 with End of Year Program

Phoenix, AZ (March 23, 2012) — Arizona Opera and the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) are pleased to announce a brand-new music series, “Arizona Opera Presents,” which will kick off with a performance on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the MIM Music Theater. “Arizona Opera Presents” will feature breathtaking performances by featured artists from Arizona Opera productions as well as the company’s Marion Roose Pullin Resident Artists.

“Arizona Opera is thrilled to be collaborating with MIM on this series,” said Scott Altman, General Director of Arizona Opera. “Through this partnership, Arizona Opera and MIM will bring dynamic live performances to the Phoenix area, celebrating opera and phenomenal vocal talent in one of the most acoustically stunning buildings in the Southwest.”

The first performance on May 6 will feature Arizona Opera’s Marion Roose Pullin Resident Artists performing Act III from Werther, a one-act Menotti opera, and arias and ensembles by Donizetti, Rossini and Verdi. Tickets for this performance range from $15-$35, and are available by phone at (602) 266-7464 or online at
