Who We Are

For almost 50 years, the Arizona Opera League of Tucson has been a source of significant support for the Arizona Opera and for the cultural and educational enrichment of the Southern Arizona community. In 1973, six Tucson businesswomen known as the “Opera Dames” launched Arizona Opera’s original volunteer and support organization. Brought together by their love of opera, the “Opera Dames” set out to share and encourage others to experience this exquisite art form. Today, the Arizona Opera League of Tucson has evolved into an organization of more than 100 men and women who share a love of opera and who work tirelessly to support our renowned Arizona Opera. Through its exciting programs and fundraising efforts, the League contributes greatly to the success and vitality of the Arizona Opera.

What We Do

Serving the Tucson area from Oro Valley to Green Valley, Opera League members enjoy special events, including gourmet dining and cocktail socials, special concerts and themed fundraisers. The proceeds from all of our activities go directly to benefit the magic you see on stage! Please become a member and join us in celebrating 50 years of Arizona Opera.

When you make a contribution to Arizona Opera in honor of someone special, the Opera League of Tucson will send a beautiful card of warm wishes to your honoree(s), letting them know a donation has been made in their name.

Honorary Member

Arizona Opera League of Tucson Board of Directors may nominate one (1) or more honorary members each year. Such individual(s) shall have rendered notable service to Arizona Opera League of Tucson.

Honorary Membership includes:

Junior memberships are complimentary for high school students who are members of a choir, chorus, band or orchestra and for college music majors and minors.
