ARIZONA OPERA ANNOUNCES TUCSON AUDITION FOR EDUCATION TOUR PIANIST FOR FALL 2022 SEASON
The Arlyn M. Brewster Tucson OperaTunity Troupe travels to area schools performing all-school assemblies of various adapted operas for elementary and middle school aged students. The troupe performs over 70 shows for over 15,000 students from September - December. The 2022 productions are Cinderella, adapted from La Cenerentola and Cendrillon, and Who Wants to be an Opera Star! A gameshow style program featuring opera’s “greatest hits.”
Position Information:
- This is a part-time, salaried position.
- Troupe members are expected to be available August 29 – December 16, 2022 from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM MST Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. There is flexibility in the schedule to accommodate class/lesson/etc. conflicts. Please reach out if you are interested but unsure about your conflict.
- There is no housing stipend provided for this position.
- Troupe members are asked to be flexible regarding performance space – you may have performances outside due to the ongoing pandemic, however Arizona Opera will provide mic’s outside when needed.
- Those wishing to audition must have received a COVID-19 vaccination.
