Local Chorus Audition for AIDA

AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Arizona Opera announces an additional round of auditions for local, Arizona-based tenor and bass chorus positions in the 2024/25 concert production of Aida. Arizona Opera is an AGMA signatory company and artists selected to participate in the Chorus are invited to join AGMA. 

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

Performance Dates, Times & Venues: 
Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Symphony Hall in Phoenix, AZ 
Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2 PM at Symphony Hall in Phoenix, AZ 
Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2 PM at Linda Ronstadt Music Hall in Tucson, AZ 
 

Chorus Orientation Dates: 
Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11 AM at Arizona Opera Center in Phoenix, AZ 
Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11 AM at Dove of Peace Church in Tucson, AZ 
 

Rehearsal Period: 
Monday, February 2, 2025 through Monday, April 10, 2025 

AGMA Negotiated Rates: 
$19.19 per rehearsal hour 
$135.65 per concert performance

2025 Aida Chorus Application

Audition Date, Time & Venue: 
Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 1:30 - 6:30 PM at Arizona Opera Center in Phoenix, AZ 
Each artist will be scheduled for an 8 minute audition slot 

Audition Requirements: 
Please prepare two pieces, one must be a song or aria in Italian 
You may be asked to sing your second piece 

Deadline to Apply:
September 5, 2024

Artists auditioning on this date may also elect to audition for Arizona Opera's Opera Ambassador Program and/or the 2024/25 Phoenix Local OperaTunity Tour presenting Hansel and Gretel vs. The Witch
