Arizona Opera's OperaTunity troupe travels to your school. By performing various operas for all-school style assemblies, Arizona Opera's portable sets and professional singers are sure to delight students of all ages. OperaTunity is a perfect introduction to this amazing artform!

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
Directed by Scott Withers
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? is an adaptation of Mozart's famous Don Giovanni. The infamous Don is rediscovered as the Big Bad Wolf, and all of the character's he has bullied have to work together to show the Wolf the errors of his ways.
Study guides are available to enhance classroom learning. Recommended for grades K-4/5.

This popular, 35-minute program presents a fun, engaging operatic crash-course to students. THrough an original story, Opera 101 presents everything you need to know about opera and weaves together opera's greatest, musical moments in their original languages. Recommended for grades 4-8. Perfect for older students eager to experience the arts!
OPERA 101: The Masterclass!
This popular, 35-minute program presents a fun, engaging operatic crash-course. But this time, your students take center stage. After a brief recital with our OperaTunity Troupe, your students (either individuals or full choir/ensemble) will recieve a masterclass with our professional singers. Help your students find their voices through this interactive performance! Study guides are available that connect the opera to AZ arts/curriculum standards. Recommended for grades 7-12. Perfect for older students eager to experience the arts!
Costs:
All performances are FREE for Title 1 schools due to a generous sponsorship.
Performances for non-Title 1 schools and other organizations are $400 for 1 show, and $600 for two shows.

Opera Tours
Learn what goes into the performances you see on stage during a tour of the Arizona Opera Center. After an OperaTunity performance in the Arizona Opera Atrium, explore the costume shop, music library and take a sneek peek at a working rehearsal (rehearsal schedule permitting). Tours roughly last 90 minutes. Bus parking is available at the Arizona Opera Center (1636 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ).
Original Opera
Arizona Opera’s Teaching Artists partner with local schools to help students create their own, original opera. Students explore the structure of storytelling while discovering their own creative voice.
