Valley Friends of Arizona Opera
Who We Are
Founded in 2011, Valley Friends is an organization that supports Arizona Opera through fundraising events and volunteer work. Valley Friends has an elected Board of Directors that manages activities serving Phoenix and the surrounding cities.
What We Do
Valley Friends hosts events that give a personal opera experience to all of our members. We recognize that people vary in the types of opera events they enjoy and are able to attend, so we strive to provide many different experiences – “something for everyone” is our motto.
Events include:
- Hosted seasonal events
- Lunchtime lectures
- Backstage tours
- Private recitals
- Dinners
- and more!
Membership Levels
Membership to the league offers unique access to both league parties and Arizona Opera events throughout each season, offering the opportunity to hear professional opera singers in an intimate setting and to enjoy the company of fellow opera lovers. Members receive exclusive member pricing to league events.
- $50 – single membership
- $75 – couples or opera buddies membership

Volunteering
In addition to fundraising and fabulous events, Valley Friends are also volunteers for many Arizona Opera events and performances including welcoming school children as they arrive for Student Preview performances, and help direct guests at the performance hall.
