The Arlyn M. Brewster Tucson OperaTunity Troupe travels to area schools performing all-school assemblies of various adapted operas for elementary and middle school aged students. The troupe performs over 60 shows for over 10,000 students from September - December.

 

Rehearsal/Tour Dates and Schedule:

Rehearsal Dates: September 3 – September 30, 2024

*50-55 total hours of rehearsal, final schedule will be determined in collaboration with full troupe

 

Tour Dates: September 23 – December 13, 2024 (days are often shorter than listed below)

Salary and Benefits

Pay: $850 bi-monthly (twice a month)

 

Production Information:

This popular work is an engaging adaptation of Mozart’s Don Giovanni that reinvents the "Don" as the infamous Big Bad Wolf. Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and friends must work together to show the Wolf the error of his ways. Using the music and themes from one of Mozart’s great operas, young audiences learn the dangers of bullying, the beauty of friendship, and the power of music to bring people together.
