Arizona Opera's Health & Safety Protocols

Arizona Opera returns to live performances this fall, as a fully vaccinated company – from our performers to staff and volunteers. We put our artists and audiences at the heart of all we do and intend to be as careful as possible with your health, therefore we have implemented a Health & Safety Policy.

Arizona Opera follows up-to-date guidelines provided by federal and state health officials city and county health departments. Please read about the measures we have put in place.

Updated information about safety requirements will be communicated to ticket holders as show dates approach through our “Know Before You Go” email communications.

Face Coverings

  • Audiences must wear a mask or face covering over their nose and mouth at our performances and programs, regardless of vaccination status.
  • All Arizona Opera patrons, staff, and volunteers are required to wear face masks in indoor common areas and during performances.

Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID-19 Test

  • Attendees of our performances and programs are required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of attendance. Attendees who present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination as defined by the CDC (cdc.gov) will be exempt from this requirement. For your convenience, you can take advantage of any of the following of options to provide your proof of negative test or full vaccination: 1) Bring your vaccination card or test results with you to the event when you arrive at the venue (photos of your documentation are acceptable); 2) Email your documentation to info@azopera.org; 3) Stop by the Arizona Opera Center before the date of the event and show proof of your negative test or vaccination card; or 3) Mail a copy of your vaccination card to Arizona Opera box office.

  • Please stay home if you are feeling ill, if you are living with someone who is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or who has the virus. If you are unable to attend a performance for any of these reasons, please email us before the performance at boxoffice@azopera.org, and we will work with you on your ticketing options. In addition to these policies, and a variety of measures are being implemented in our venues to help ensure a safe environment. These include enhanced cleaning procedures, upgraded air filtration systems, hand sanitizing stations, and paperless tickets.

We deeply value you as an Arizona Opera family member and we thank you for support of these policies, which will help ensure a successful and safe season ahead for all.
