Arizona Opera Film Festival
A collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera, in-person
This new twist on Arizona Opera’s popular summer opera film festival will bring the art form back to the Arizona Opera Roma and Raymond Wittcoff Black Box Theater. The first such collaboration of its kind between The Metropolitan Opera and a regional US opera company will present screenings from the popular series, The Met: Live in HD.
Student Night at the Opera
Special tickets are available for the final dress rehearsal performance of every mainstage opera. These nights are reserved specifically for students to get swept away by great music and stories–while enhancing classroom learning.
Special tickets are reserved for students to attend the Saturday mainstage performances at Tucson Music Hall. Registration is required and seats are very limited.
Music Movement Breaks
For Students K-6, Digital
Arizona Opera and Ballet Arizona are proud to present Music Movement Breaks, a FREE digitally interactive tool that encourages your students to get up, dance, and have fun while learning important rhythm, listening, and movement skills. Whether used as a tool to teach important state standards, or just to take a break from virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning, these Music Movement Breaks are sure to get your students moving and dancing!
Musical Storytime with Arizona Opera
Join members of the Arizona Opera Education Department for Storytime with a musical twist! Each selected story is woven together with musical experts to enhance the story being presented.
Starting Friday, September 25 through December, we will be releasing a new musical story every two weeks! Be sure to follow us on social media, and sign up for our email list to enjoy each unique musical story.
Brown Bag Lunch Recitals
On the second Thursday of the month, Arizona Opera offers a free recital at the opera center. Bring your friends, bring your lunch, and sample what we have to offer!
Open Virtual Masterclasses
Arizona Opera’s Educational Teaching Artists are ready to bring these vital arts topics right to your home. Intended for students in grades 6 – 12, Arizona Opera is offering virtual sessions for students learning from home. Registration is free and students can sign up for as many classes as they would like.
