Schedule a fully staged, 40-minute mini-opera performance at your school, community center or library! Performances are presented in English and designed for K-8 audiences
Student Previews
In-Person
Special tickets are available for the final dress rehearsal performance of every opera. These previews are reserved exclusively for students to get swept away by great music and stories - while enhancing classroom learning.

Student tickets are available for the Saturday evening performances of each 2022/23 Season production at the Temple of Music and Art and The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall (formerly Tucson Music Hall). Registration is required and seats are limited.

The Arizona Opera Student Recognition Program (Scott's Seats) is designed to recognize students or fellow teachers for their exemplary efforts, community service, citizenship, volunteer service, etc. If students are nominated for a reason besides academics, they should demonstrate a positive academic effort, good school attendance, and good discipline.
Student Backstage Tours
In-Person
Student Backstage Tech Theater Tours offer High School students grades 9-12 the opportunity to go backstage during Tech Week. Led by Arizona Opera’s Production Department, students will tour a number of backstage areas and leave with insider knowledge about what goes on behind-the-scenes!
Teacher Night at the Opera
This night is reserved specifically for teachers to join us for the final dress rehearsal of our opening production. Teachers receive two complementary tickets to attend the performance and learn what Arizona Opera has to offer for students throughout the season.
Student Masterclasses
In-Person and/or Virtual
Arizona Opera’s Education Teaching Artists are ready to join your class in-person or virtually to provide a masterclass on the topic of your choice! Masterclass topics include: vocal technique, opera history, career development, performance anxiety, mental/physical health relating to performers, and individual or group coaching for classical singers, and musical theatre! Available for ALL cities in Arizona.
Musical Storytime with Arizona Opera

Join members of the Arizona Opera Education Department for Storytime with a musical twist! Travel with us as we visit Cinderella, explore the forest with Hansel and Gretel, take up residence at The Metropolitan Opera House, and more! Each selected story is woven together with musical experts to enhance the story being presented.

Music Movement Breaks

Arizona Opera and Ballet Arizona are proud to present Music Movement Breaks, a FREE digitally interactive tool that encourages your students to get up, dance, and have fun while learning important rhythm, listening, and movement skills. Whether used as a tool to teach important state standards, or just to take a break from virtual, hybrid, or in-person learning, these Music Movement Breaks are sure to get your students moving and dancing!
