Chorus Auditions for the 2024/25 Season

Dear Choristers,

Please be advised that auditions will be held for next season’s chorus. Those incumbent/core choristers who auditioned last spring are not required but welcome to re-audition this year. Those who did not audition last spring will be expected to audition this year in order to be considered for chorus positions in the 2024/25 Season.

All incumbent/core choristers may also audition for the following small roles:

La Bohème

Benoit/Alcindoro (Bass, Supporting Role)
Parpignol (Tenor, Chorus Bit Role)
Custom-House Officer (Bass, Chorus Bit Role)
Sergeant (Bass, Chorus Bit Role)
Prune Man (Tenor, Chorus Bit Role)

The auditions will take place:

Arizona Opera Center, 1636 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004
Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Dove of Peace Church, 665 W Roller Coaster Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704
Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM

You will be required to sing one aria or art song in Italian. You may be asked to sing a second aria or art song, in any language of your choosing.

Each auditioner will be scheduled for an 8-minute slot. A pianist will be provided, or you may bring one with you. These times will also be used for new chorister auditions, so please sign up as soon as possible to guarantee that you get the time slot you prefer. The deadline for signing up for an Audition is 5 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2024.
