Violin II, Assistant Principal Auditions

Arizona Opera announces auditions for the following:
 

Violin II, Assistant Principal (14 svcs*)

*projected services for 2024/25 Season

*2023/24 Season per service rate:

Assistant principal musician: $138.42*
Plus per diem, travel and hotel stipend per CBA

*The collective bargaining agreement of the Arizona Opera Orchestra expired on June 30, 2024 and is currently in the process of renegotiation.

Violin II, Assistant Principal auditions will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025 in The Roma and Raymond Wittcoff Black Box Theater at the Arizona Opera Center. Times will be announced prior.

• Mozart - Concerto #3, 4, or 5. First movement, exposition only.
• Mozart - The Marriage of Figaro: Overture, beginning to 58 (Violin 1)
• Mozart - The Marriage of Figaro: Act IV (Finale, beginning to fermata in bar 44) (Violin 2)
• Puccini - Manon Lescaut: Act III, Intermezzo, #2 to 8 bars after #4 (Violin 2)
• Puccini - Tosca: Act I, 5 bars after #52 to #54 (Violin 1)
• Verdi - Falstaff: Act I Part I, 8 bars after #13 to #14 (Violin 1)
• Verdi - La Forza del Destino: Overture, beginning to 7 before B (Violin 1)
