Join Arizona Opera and Kerr Cultural Center for a free lecture series designed to enhance your understanding of the music, themes, and history behind the upcoming performance of El Milagro del Recuerdo. Presented by Arizona Opera’s new Director of Community Alliances, Courtney Clark, we will take a deep dive into this sensational Mariachi Opera – a prequel to Cruzar la Cara de la Luna performed in Arizona Opera’s 2014/2015 season.

El Milagro del Recuerdo brings audiences back to where the story of Cruzar all began: Michoacán, Mexico. Set during Christmas, the opera lovingly explores the themes of traditions and familial bonds while its characters deal with life-changing decisions and dream of something more.
