Coffee @ Kerr Virtual Lecture

The Coffee @ Kerr series will continue through our 2020/21 Season and feature virtual lectures designed to enhance your understand if the music, themes, and history behind opera. Join us for a free virtual music and lecture series at the Kerr Cultural Center. Each lecture is designed to enhance your understanding of the music, themes, and history of opera.

Have you ever wondered where it all began? Presented by Brian DeMaris, Artistic Director of Music, Theatre, and Opera at Arizona State University, “The Invention of Opera” will take us through the history of opera and where it came from up to the Mozart opera’s we know and love today. The presentation will conclude with a live performance from one of the Marion Roose Pullin Arizona Opera Studio Artists.
