Coffee @ Kerr Virtual Lecture

A Day in the Life; The Stories Behind the Song
Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - 10:30am

The Coffee @ Kerr series will continue through our 2020/21 Season and feature virtual lectures designed to enhance your understand if the music, themes, and history behind opera. Join us for a free virtual music and lecture series at the Kerr Cultural Center. Each lecture is designed to enhance your understanding of the music, themes, and history of opera.

Join Arizona Opera and David Schildkret, the Director of Choral Activities at ASU, as we explore the stories behind the song…and the singer. Opera is all about incredible stories that are told on stage, but there are equally fascinating tales about the people that dedicate their lives to making the magic and the music come to life. Join us as we pull back the curtain on what really goes into learning to sing opera. We will be joined by Arizona Opera Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artist, Mack Wolz, who will not only share stories about their own personal journey, but will perform one of their favorite arias for you.

Reservations are available through the Kerr Cultural Center two weeks before each event.
