Playing On Stage: The Evolution of Child Roles in Opera

Date and Time: March 24, 2021 at 10:30 AM MST
Location: Kerr Cultural Center (Virtual Event)

Opera is often associated with dramatic stories, culminating in the tragic death of the diva. Still, children have had an increasing involvement in the stories we sing. In this lecture, Dr. Miriam Schildkret, Arizona Opera Education Teaching Artist and ASU alumna, will outline the fascinating history of how children grew to take “center stage” in this beloved art form.

Reservations are available through the Kerr Cultural Center two weeks before each event.
