Intro to Silk Screening: Part Two

In this two part 4-hour class, Shelby Joiner (Arizona Opera’s Painter/Dyer) will lead attendees through the process of applying photo emulsion, exposing the silk screen and then using it to paint an apron.

 

Part Two: November 6, 2021 at 12 PM MST

This two and a half-hour session can either attended in person at the Arizona Opera Center (1636 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85004) or virtually via Zoom. The second part of this class will be the actual silk screen exposure and painting process. Most needed materials are covered in the class fee. Materials will be mailed to attendee or can be picked up at the Arizona Opera Center (1636 N. Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85004) for those attending virtually. Supplies will be available at the time of the sessions for those attending In-person.

 

This class will be recorded. Access to this recording is included with the purchase of this Masterclass; the link for this recording will be emailed 3-5 days after the live class. Be sure you wear paint friendly clothes and work in an area that can get messy. Attendees can also provide their own cotton T-shirt to silk screen after their apron.
