Who We Are

For over 50 years, the Arizona Opera League of Tucson has been a source of significant support for Arizona Opera and for the cultural and educational enrichment of the Southern Arizona community. In 1973, six Tucson businesswomen known as the “Opera Dames” launched Arizona Opera’s original volunteer and support organization. Brought together by their love of opera, the “Opera Dames” set out to share and encourage others to experience this exquisite art form. Today, the Arizona Opera League of Tucson has evolved into an organization of members who share a love of opera and who work tirelessly to support our renowned Arizona Opera. Through its exciting programs and fundraising efforts, the League contributes greatly to the success and vitality of Arizona Opera.

Opera League members enjoy many special events with all proceeds going directly to Arizona Opera to help support the magic you see both on stage and in our community!

• Holiday Gala Luncheon
• Annual membership meeting
• Opera salons

Membership Levels and Benefits

ALL members enjoy the following benefits:

Additional Benefits:

• Family memberships and above include two (2) memberships
• Friend memberships and above receive name recognition in the directory
• Benefactor memberships include two free admissions to one social or fundraising event (complementary admission must be requested by member)

 

Individual- $50

Family- $70 

Friend- $125 or more

Patron- $250 or more

Benefactor- $500 or more

Honorary Member

Arizona Opera League of Tucson Board of Directors may nominate one (1) or more honorary members each year. Such individual(s) shall have rendered notable service to Arizona Opera League of Tucson.

Honorary Membership includes:

• Special recognition of Honorary Membership
• Invitations to Arizona Opera League of Tucson and Arizona Opera events
• Receive the Arizona Opera League of Tucson Newsletter – Libretto
• Listing in the league membership directory
• Non-voting life membership
• Exemption from all obligations of membership
• Note: Honorary Members may not hold office on AOLT Board of Directors

 

Young Adult- $25 (Available to Age 30)

• Welcome to attend Board of Directors meetings
• Invitations to Arizona Opera League of Tucson and Arizona Opera events
• Receive the Arizona Opera League of Tucson Newsletter – Libretto
• Listing in the league membership directory
• Serve as non-voting active participant(s) on a committee

 

Junior- Complementary

Junior memberships are complimentary for high school students.

• Complimentary for one (1) high school or college student whose parent is a Family Member
• Invitations to Arizona Opera League of Tucson and Arizona Opera events
• Receive the Arizona Opera League of Tucson Newsletter – Libretto
• Listing in the league membership directory
• Ushering and other volunteer opportunities
