Student Backstage Tours - Phoenix

Student Backstage Tech Theater ToursStudent Backstage Tech Theater Tours offer High School students grades 9-12 the opportunity to go backstage at Symphony Hall, Phoenix during Tech week of CarmenA Little Night Music, or Così fan Tutte. Lead by Arizona Opera’s Technical Director Matthew Christophel, students will tour a number of backstage production areas as they learn the who, what, where, and why’s of producing an opera.

Tours last approximately 60 minutes, with the opportunity to stay in the theater and observe a load in or light focus based on availability and approval from Arizona Opera’s production department. No more than 20 people are permitted on the tour and Arizona Opera encourages 1 chaperone for ever 5 students if possible. Tour’s cost $20 per student, chaperone tickets are complimentary.

 

CARMEN

Dates: January 18 – 21, January 24 – 25

Times: Flexible – will be determined at time of reservation

 

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

Dates: February 22 – 25, February 28, March 1

Times: Flexible – will be determined at time of reservation

 

COSI FAN TUTTE

Dates: March 28 – April 1, April 4 + 5

Times: Flexible – will be determined at time of reservation

 

If you are open to more than one show, please select multiple options.
No more than 20 students per tour.
We encourage 1 chaperone for every 5 students. Chaperone tickets are complimentary.
If possible, please pick your top 2 preferred tour dates based on the above date ranges.
Tour times can be flexible, but we encourage afternoon tours. Please specify your ideal tour time.
