Arizona Opera Shines with "Falstaff" but Presents Ordinary "Don Giovanni"
Chris Curcio provides a review with positives outlooks on both productions done by the Arizona Opera. The first one, Falstaff, has a very good comeadic feel to it. The second one, Don Giovanni, was complimented on the quality of the singers.
"The season further established Arizona Opera’s musical maturity along with the vibrant stagings. Gone are the days of antiquated productions from second rate opera companies as Arizona Opera selects productions from the best American regional opera companies or produces its own versions that foster Arizona Opera’s national name."
