Tucson Lecture Explores Wagner's Ring Cycle

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Do you know the Ring Cycle from The Lord of the Rings? Do you think Donner is just a reindeer? If you're naive about the Nibelung and your Wagner is weak, don’t miss the Ring Cycle lecture series at the Tucson Museum of Art, coming in April 2016.

Join Arizona Opera Education Manager Joshua Borths for this exclusive lecture series exploring opera’s most monumental (and controversial) work. Borth will explore the history, mythology and artistry of Der Ring des Nibelungen, Wagner’s epic cycle of four music dramas, which in their complete form take multiple days to perform and have inspired a wealth of interpretation, intrigue and imitation.
