Regional Reviews: Phoenix (Arizona Opera - A Little Night Music)

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's romantic musical comedy A Little Night Music is receiving a lavish and excellent production at Arizona Opera. Sondheim's score is his most operatic, so it fits in perfectly to the opera repertoire. With a cast possessing wide vocal ranges, direction that brings out the humor and heart, and a whimsical production design, this is a warm and winning production of the rich and rewarding musical.
