Top 10 October classical, dance concerts in Phoenix

Arizona Opera kicks off its 45th season with a “Sapphire Celebration.” It’s an opera’s-greatest-hits concert featuring full orchestra, soloists and chorus and starring Frederica von Stade, the world-famous mezzo-soprano who has performed everywhere from the Met to the White House to the opening ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake.
