Craig Irvin brings a vibrant sound and commitment to character to a wide variety of repertoire. Opera News has praised his “rich, resonant baritone” while the Dallas Morning News has noted his “truly commanding baritone.” This season, Irvin makes exciting returns to Utah Opera as Jack Torrence in The Shining and Opera Tampa as Papageno in The Magic Flute. In addition, he makes house debuts with Virginia Opera as Travis Briggs in Intelligence and Florida Grand Opera as the French General in Silent Night. Last season, Irvin made his Glimmerglass Opera debut singing the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance and Giove in La Callisto. He also brought his Pirate King to Knoxville Opera’s The Pirates of Penzance, made a role and house debut as Kenny Kencaid in Shawn Okpebholo and Mark Campbell’s The Cook Off with Nashville Opera, made his role debut as Tonio in Pagliacci, performed Maximillian and Captain in Candide with Opera Tampa, sang Thalasso in the premiere of The Pigeon Keeper with Opera Parallèle, and made concert appearances with the Des Moines Symphony, Madison Symphony Orchestra, and Grand Rapids Symphony.
Irvin recently returned to The Atlanta Opera in his role debut as Jack Torrance in The Shining, to Madison Opera as Scarpia in Tosca, and reprised his Older Thompson in Glory Denied with Annapolis Opera and his Pirate King in The Pirate of Penzance with Kentucky Opera. Recent engagements also include his role debut as Jochanaan in Salome with Madison Opera, his role debut as Older Thompson in Glory Denied with Knoxville Opera and Permian Basin Opera, Maximillian in Candide with The Atlanta Opera, and the Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods with Tulsa Opera.
In recent seasons, he reprised The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance at both The Atlanta Opera and Utah Symphony and Opera. Other recent engagements include the revival of his Dan Packard in Dinner at Eight with the Wexford Festival, Lt. Horstmayer in Silent Night with Austin Opera, Valentin in Faust with Opera Omaha, singing Dominik and covering Mandryka in Arabella with Canadian Opera Company, Stubb in Moby Dick with Utah Opera, Dandini in La Cenerentola with Opera Orlando, and Frank in Die Fledermaus with Des Moines Metro Opera.
A native of Iowa, Irvin completed his undergraduate study at the Simpson College in Indianola under the tutelage of Dr. Robert L. Larsen.

Jason Edelstein is a baritone from Paramus, NJ. This summer, Edelstein joins The Opera Theatre of Saint Louis as a 2026 Gerdine Young Artist covering roles in both Roméo & Juliette and The Pirates of Penzance. After OTSL he returns to the Aspen Music Festival and School as a Renée Fleming Artist singing Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and covering Papageno in The Magic Flute. Edelstein spent summer 2025 in Aspen as a Renée Fleming Artist singing Schaunard in La Bohème and covering Abinaswar in the World Premiere of Siddhartha, She. He spent the 2025/26 Season as a Jan Miller Studio Artist with Pensacola Opera singing the roles of Charlie in Three Decembers, Barone Douphol (Germont cover) in La Traviata, and Ike Skidmore (Curly cover) in Oklahoma!.
He is a recent Encouragement Award recipient from the Florida District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Edelstein completed his graduate studies at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and his undergraduate studies at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Recent credits include Barone Douphol (Germont cover) in Verdi’ s La Traviata, Charlie in Heggie’s Three Decembers, Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème, Guglielmo in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, John Buchanan in Hoiby’s Summer and Smoke, Demetrius in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Steward in Dove’s Flight.

Praised for his “healthy and soaring tenor voice” (Herald Times) and “brilliant physical grace, timing, and precision” (Broadway World), Korean-American tenor Brad Bickhardt is known for his versatility in both opera and musical theatre. The Pirates of Penzance marks his 10th appearance with Arizona Opera and previous 2025/26 engagements included performing Goro in Madama Butterfly with Opera Orlando, performing Hannibal in the regional tour of Weill/Brecht’s Happy End with The Glimmerglass Festival and Opera Saratoga, covering Goro in Madama Butterfly at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, a company he returns to in 2027. He performed the role of Alfredo in La Traviata with Livermore Valley Opera, sang Goro with the St. Barthélemy Music Festival, and joined Anchorage Opera as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi.
On the concert stage, he performed as the tenor soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Santa Barbara Symphony. In the 2024/25 Season, he sang the role of Podesta in The Secret Gardener with Arizona Opera. He also made a return to Opera Theatre of St. Louis to sing Glenn in the World Premiere of This House by Ricky Ian Gordon and Lynn Nottage. During the 2023/24 Season, Bickhardt created the role of Felix in the World Premiere of Greg Kallor’s Frankenstein, and appeared as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and as Tybalt in Roméo & Juliette with Arizona Opera, and in the summer, he made a company debut with Opera Theatre of St. Louis as A Priest in Philip Glass’ Galileo Galilei. Additional roles with Arizona Opera include Tamino in The Magic Flute, and role debuts as the Tanzmeister & Scaramuccio in a new production of Ariadne auf Naxos and Jumper in The Falling and the Rising. In concert, Bickhardt has sung Schubert’s Mass in G, Mozart’s Missa Brevis in Bb, Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, and Handel’s Messiah with The Phoenix Symphony.
Bickhardt is an alumnus of the young artist programs of the Marion Roose Pullin Studio at Arizona Opera, The Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, The Glimmerglass Festival, Tri-Cities Opera, Opera Naples, Wolf Trap Opera, Opera Saratoga, and Charlottesville Opera. He holds both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Vocal Performance from Indiana University.

José Olivares previously served as the 2025/26 Bass-Baritone Young Artist with Fort Worth Opera this past Fall/Spring where he sang the roles of Ludovic in Belle et la bete and Yakuside in Puccini’s Madam Butterfly. Olivares also performed roles with Finger Lakes Opera as Simone in Gianni Schicchi and Count Ceprano in Rigoletto. During his time as a resident artist with Lyric Opera of Kansas City during the 2023/24 Season, he covered the role of Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana and performed Duke in Roméo & Juliette. Other past roles have included Horace in Hello, Dolly!, Pandolfe in Cinderella, and Holborn in The Manchurian Candidate at Seagle Festival, Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love, Colline in La Bohème at Opera Magnífico, Farfarello in The Love for Three Oranges at Des Moines Metro Opera and Theseus in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Olivares holds a Masters from the University of Oklahoma and Bachelors from East Texas A&M University. This summer, Olivares will be performing as Senator Potter’s Assistant/French Priest in Fellow Travelers at Glimmerglass Festival.

Praised for her "expressive, lovingly shaded soprano" and "dazzling coloratura and lithe stage presence [used] to piquant comedic effect" (Opera News), French-American soprano Véronique Filloux spends the 2022/23 Season with Arizona Opera, making several exciting role debuts including Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Liesl (The Sound of Music), Pamina (The Magic Flute), and Agatha (Frankenstein - workshop). Filloux also joins Washington Concert Opera as Miss Ellen (Lakmé) and Pacific Opera Project as Martesia in the US premiere of Vivaldi's Ercole su'l Termodonte. Filloux is delighted to spend her summer with Wolf Trap Opera as a Filene Artist, singing Iris (Semele), singing on Steve Blier's recital "Night and Day, USA," and giving a Parlor Recital. In the 2023/24 Season, Filloux looks forward to debuts with companies including Berkshire Opera Festival as Musetta (La Bohème) and Livermore Valley Opera as Curley’s Wife (Of Mice and Men), as well as two returns to Arizona Opera as Rosina (The Barber of Seville) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni).
Filloux has spent the past two summers with Des Moines Metro Opera, singing Peaseblossom/Tytania (cover) in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and L'Amour/La Folie (cover) in Rameau's Platée. As a Pittsburgh Opera Resident Artist for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 Seasons, her roles included Papagena (The Magic Flute), The Girl/Luna (The Rose Elf, staged premiere), Frasquita (Carmen), Despina (Così fan tutte), Chan Parker (Charlie Parker’s Yardbird), and the title role in Handel’s Semele. Filloux also performed recitals with Salt Marsh Opera and Musicians Club of Women and was scheduled to debut with the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra in Beethoven's Mass in C.
Active in competition, Filloux has won 1st Place in the 2022 Zenith Opera Competition, the 2023 Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Competition- Arizona, the 2022 Mildred Miller Vocal Competition, and the 2021 Camille Coloratura Awards. Filloux is a prize winner in the 2022 Young Patronesses of the Opera Competition, 2023 Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Competition- National Finals, 2022 Annapolis Opera Competition, 2021 Orpheus Vocal Competition 2021 Dorothy Lincoln-Smith Competition- DC, and the 2020 Musicians Club of Women Competition, as well as a Pittsburgh District Winner of the 2020 Laffont Competition.
In past seasons, Filloux has been proud to work with opera companies including Opera Lafayette, Chicago Opera Theater, Salt Marsh Opera, Opera NEO, and Central City Opera, with whom she spent two summers, singing Papagena (The Magic Flute) and the title role in Debussy’s La damoiselle élue, earning the 2019 Opera Guild Artist Sponsorship and winning both the company’s Young Artist Award and Apprentice Artist Award. Filloux made her Kennedy Center debut as Tigrane (Radamisto) with Opera Lafayette. On the concert stage, Filloux has performed solos in Carmina Burana, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Messiah, and several Bach cantatas with organizations including the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Bach Collegium San Diego, Maryland Bach Cantata Project, and Chicago’s Music of the Baroque, with whom she has enjoyed several collaborations. Filloux is a proud graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Maryland Opera Studio.

Soprano Francesca Herrera is a Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio Artist with Arizona Opera. At the start of the 2025/26 Season, she made her house debut as Luisa in Héctor Armienta’s Zorro. In spring 2026, she returned as Clorinda in La Cenerentola. This summer Herrera joins Central City Opera as an Apprentice Artist covering with a performance of Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro.
Herrera was a 2025 Studio Artist with Wolf Trap Opera, where she covered the roles of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Frasquita in Carmen. She won the 2025 Tommy Trotter Memorial Scholarship in the Opera Guild for Atlanta Scholarship Competition and placed first in the Great Lakes Region of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Student Auditions.
During the 2024/25 Season, Herrera received an Encouragement Award in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (North Carolina District) and performed Flora in The Turn of the Screw with University of Michigan’s Department of Voice & Opera. She also performed Cathy/Shamana 1 and covered Lucy in the first orchestral workshop of The House on Mango Street, a new opera by Derek Bermel and Sandra Cisneros.
As an Emerging Artist with Seagle Festival for two summers, Herrera performed roles including Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. An accomplished dancer, she choreographed Seagle’s productions of Brigadoon and With Blood, with Ink by Peter M. Krask. Herrera graduated cum laude from Duke University and pursued graduate studies at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Amanda Majeski.

New York–based Mexican mezzo-soprano Rosario Armas, originally from Tlaxcala, Mexico, earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and recently completed her Master of Musical Arts degree at the Yale School of Music, where she was also awarded the Smriti Deb Memorial Prize for Outstanding Singer.
Her operatic highlights include the title role in La tragédie de Carmen, Baba the Turk in The Rake’s Progress, Anita in La Navarraise, Mrs. Grose in The Turn of the Screw, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, and Dorabella in Così fan tutte. She has also performed selections from Carmen in concert with the Washington National Opera Orchestra in Washington, D.C. Armas is the recipient of the Judith Raskin Scholarship and the International Advisory Board Scholarship. Her awards include First Prize in the Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition, Third Prize in the Joan Taub Ades Competition, Second Prize in the Gerda Lissner Foundation Zarzuela Division, and multiple Encouragement Awards at the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition district level, where she was also named Washington, D.C. District Winner in 2025.
Armas has been a young artist at Wolf Trap Opera, Sarasota Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and recently Opera Theater of St. Louis. Her artistic work also extends beyond the stage, including a 2023 commission from composer Julian de la Chica, resulting in two album releases in 2024. Alongside her operatic career, Armas is an interpreter of bolero and traditional Mexican mariachi music, which remains a central part of her artistic identity. She will be joining Arizona Opera this fall in its Young Artist Program

Jenni was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, grew up in Binghamton, New York, and studied voice and opera at The Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University. San Francisco native Emily Senturia draws from her diverse experience as a violinist and opera coach to conduct operatic repertoire with a sympathetic affinity for both singers and instrumentalists. Recent engagements include Kentucky Opera (The Barber of Seville; La Traviata), West Edge Opera (Rinaldo; the World Premiere of Bulrusher) Madison Opera (Così fan tutte), Opera Santa Barbara (Giulio Cesare, Semele), and Wolf Trap Opera (The Marriage of Figaro, Ariadne auf Naxos). Her 2027 season continues with Tosca at the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera.
Senturia made mainstage debuts conducting The Barber of Seville with both Houston Grand Opera and Washington National Opera in 2018 and music directed the World Premiere of Denis & Katya at Opera Philadelphia’s O19 Festival. She has worked on music staff at Houston Grand Opera, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, The Atlanta Opera, and Opera Philadelphia.

Manhattan-based director, writer, and performer Sydney Roslin is constantly crossing genres and state lines in the pursuit of complex, dynamic storytelling. Recent directing credits include Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Opera Neo in San Diego and Centro Cultural Tijuana in Tijuana, Mexico; Handel’s Rodelinda at Opera Neo; Dear Brain, from Heart at NYC’s Green Room 42; and Handel’s Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno at Opera Neo, which was called “absolutely brilliant” by the San Diego Union-Tribune. Assistant directing credits include Gounod’s Roméo & Juliette at Minnesota Opera and Mozart’s The Secret Gardener in a co-production between Opera Neo and the Hungarian State Opera.
Never one to stick to a single medium, Roslin recently tackled the world of audio fiction as the director of The Artisan Who Made Me, a SAG-AFTRA audio drama from Bottled Star Productions, currently streaming across podcasting platforms. She also recently served as Resident Writer at the Matthew Corozine Studio in Manhattan, culminating in a self-directed showcase of her scenes and monologues titled A Touch of Naïveté: Stories of Love, Loss, and Growing Up. Other written works include the chamber opera On Our Street, for which she was the librettist in collaboration with composer Zachary James Ritter, and her one-woman show, From Tolochin to Tin Pan Alley: Irving Berlin and the American Dream.
When she’s not behind the production table, Roslin can be found onstage. Recent roles include Frieda/Betty in Sunday in the Park with George, Mother in Hansel and Gretel, Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Martha in Heathers, and Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto. She is a member of the Letter of Marque Theater Company, a devising and soundpainting ensemble based in Manhattan, and performs around NYC with her all-women musical improv team, “Off the Record.” She has also served for six years as the High Holy Days Cantorial Soloist at Falmouth Jewish Congregation in Falmouth, MA, and subs regularly with choirs throughout New York City. Roslin is a proud graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (BFA Vocal Performance & BA Creative Writing) and The Boston Conservatory (MFA Musical Theater Performance).
