Enjoy University of Arizona vocal arts students singing key arias from shows in Arizona Opera’s 2016/17 season. These free opera previews are held prior to each Arizona Opera mainstage opera.
Audiences are invited to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a second performance of Say Hello to Opera on Fridays prior to Arizona Opera's mainstage performances.
Your hosts for this Feast of Asian tastes are Fred Fox, Mel Mounts, and Cheri and Russ Smith. The Feast will be held at Fred’s home. In addition to the fabulous menu, there be entertainment featuring opera soloists who will sing arias from Madame Butterfly and guests will join them in performing the “Humming Chorus” from the opera. There will also be a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. A night to remember for 14 very lucky guests. Do not wait to sign up for this Feast—the hosts expect it to be sold out quickly.
Enjoy a glass of wine and discuss details of a main stage opera with President and General Director Joseph Specter. Guests are invited behind the scenes to view a portion of the opera’s final rehearsal at Arizona Opera Center. Registration is required. $25 per person, per event.
